Garden Bouquet Quilt - Vintage 1931 Newspaper Pattern

The Garden Bouquet Quilt pattern by Florence La Ganke (Nancy Page Quilt Club) was published in The Minneapolis Tribune newspaper beginning Saturday October 10, 1931 and running through 1932.  It was published in other newspapers also, such as the Nashville Banner in February-July 1932.

Appliqué is the nicest method to use in making this quilt... and we all know appliqué is time consuming. This quilt contains some great time savings opportunities - (1) the urns are pieced and (2) you can use green bias tape for the flower stems. You can see that you can make a family heirloom appliquéd quilt in less time than it looks!

The quilt is designed for a double bed measurement of 90" x 108".  Of coarse, you may alter the borders to make the size you desire.  The center blocks (without borders) measure 68" x 85".
