This pattern is 4 pages. It includes the 4 designs pictured below and the text which accompanied the patterns. There is no specific quilt layout - a lot of flexibility was left to the quilters. The original patterns had a lot of ideas for layouts and coloring. For example: "Here is my idea for the quilt. The top row will have a plain white block, a wreath block, a white, a wreath block, a white, a wreath and last a white block... There will be eight or nine rows in the quilt depending upon your choice of a quilt 108 inches long with no border, or a quilt which is 96 inches long with a border. In the above planning, I have counted on finished blocks being 12 inches square. Of coarse the wreath blocks could be 15 inches square. Then they could be put together with six-inch strips... You can see the possibilities" |
