Bedtime Quilt - 1916 Ruby McKim Quilt Pattern
| This pattern, by Ruby Short McKim
was published in the Kansas City Star, in a series in 1916. The quilt was
copyright by Thornton W. Burgess and Ruby Short and was also known as the Quaddy
Quiltie and Farmer Brown's Barnyard Animals. Pictured opposite is the Bedtime Quilt layout. Twenty little Quaddies, in funny square shapes, will make a picture cover for your bed. These have been made just the size to be traced upon a block eight inches square and you can outline them in simple outline stitch in your favorite color. Everybody reads the daily Bedtime Story and he has missed a good deal who isn’t acquainted with Danny Meadow Mouse, Peter Rabbit and the other members of the Green Forest colony. Many of you have framed the four prints that The Daily News sent, so that you might have them on the walls of your room, and now we show you how you may have other pictures of the Bedtime folks where you can see them as soon as your eyes open in the morning. |
