Parade of States Quilt

The Patchwork Parade of States Quilt is by Ruby McKim / McKim Studios. There are 48 designs, some pieced and some appliqué. Each week/pattern represents a different quilt (there were 48 states at the time of publication, and only 48 patterns complete the set.) You can use any pattern to make a full sized quilt, or combine them to make a sampler quilt.

			New Jersey's Autumn Leaves
A Cherokee Rose for Georgia. This pattern shows the pattern, and how the completed quilt will look. Most patterns (as you see from the following patterns) do not show the summary of the quilt.	Delaware - a pieced pattern. The instructions for quilt assembly are minimal, but useable. You can choose to repeat the squares as many times as fit your needs. Altering borders as you choose.	Massachusetts - Martha's Vineyard. This is my favorite. I plan to use this pattern to make a penny rug. I am tempted to start cutting out all those little wool "grapes". Seriously! :0)	I picked a simple square here. See how much variety there is? I like this square, and think I may make a nice lap quilt from beautiful fall colors. Yes, I love to sew and use my patterns!
